HELICOPTER PHOTOGRAPHIC & FLY IN SAFARIS

Bateleur Helicopter presents its new fly-in and photographic safaris, which will now put us in the league of safari operators. Based in Swakopmund, all of our safaris will depart from the Swakopmund airstrip. We aim to accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers per safari trip. What makes these machines of ours so appealing, especially to our photographic market, is the bubble shape of its windows and the ability to remove the doors and have an open cockpit. A ground crew vehicle will accompany on all safaris to transport additional fuel as well as all luggage to accompany guests on their safari.

The locations we have chosen to include in our packages were based on the logistics of each route and had to be of such a nature that made the following 3 very important points possible:

Landing- we will be able to land at each of the accommodations we have chosen for our guests.

Availability- the accommodations we have chosen are mainly large establishments that will be more likely to accommodate our guests throughout the year.

Refueling- there are refueling facilities near or on the premises of the chosen establishments.

THE PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARIS

The photographic packages are constructed as all-inclusive packages and therefore putting them in a higher price class than the normal fly-in safaris. These packages are focused on the landscapes which we have come to experience are popular amongst photographers and we have split them up to cover the northern and southern parts of the country. Scenery which can be seen on these excursions will include the Sossusvlei dune landscape, Fish River Canyon, Luderitz-with the famous Kolmanskop and the Lange Wand all famous to the southern regions of the country. Then to the north we have the Brandberg Mountain and Messum Crater in the Twyfelfontein area, the Petrified Forrest in the Damaraland and the world famous Skeleton Coast along with its many shipwrecks.

THE FLY IN SAFARIS

The fly-in safari packages are constructed on a standard meal basis, making them the more affordable package between the two, for those who would like to experience Namibia from above. These Fly-in safari packages are focused more on the destinations and activities surrounding the destinations themselves, whilst still experiencing the wonderful views of the landscapes Namibia has to offer. We have also split them up to cover both the southern and northern regions of the country most like the routes of the photographic safaris, but with a different focus. In order to bring something different to the table we also added a third fly-in safari package, which is the Caprivi package for those determined to experience the far north-eastern region of our country from above as well as its far to reach destinations.
